Although computer animation had been done before it wasn't perfected until one movie came along and revolutionized computer animation as well started the fame of one of the best movie makers of today. Pixar's very first movie Toy Story, is still today one of (if not the) best animated movies around.
Toy Story has a basic premise. All your toys live. When you sleep or are not paying attention to them they are alive and are able to talk and have great adventures. One of these toys is Woody. He is the favorite toy of his owner Andy. They have been together as long as they can remember. The other toys include Slinky, a dog with a spring as a body. Rex, a wimpy and very scared T-Rex. Mr. Potato head, a grumpy potato who can replace all of his limps. Hamm, a piggy bank who is (according to Andy) the evil Dr. Pork chop, he also knows a lot about almost everything. And last but not least Buzz Lightyear (and how can my spell correction not know about Lightyear??). Buzz is a space ranger from star command who doesn't believe that he's a toy. He replaces Woody as Andy's favorite toy. And Woody is not liking it.
What makes this movie so great is the fantastic all star cast. Tim Allen and Tom Hanks have the perfect voices for Buzz and Woody and how they interact (I should say argue) is always entertaining and great to watch. Then there's the supporting cast consisting of Don Rickles (Mr. potato head), Jim Varny (Slinky),Wallace Shawn (Rex) and John Ratzenberger (Hamm). All of their voices fledge out the characters perfectly and fit them perfectly. Also the "villain" of the movie is great. Sid is a sadistic and evil kid who does nothing else then blow up and destroy other toys. I love the scene's in Sid's house especially because you see the wicked and evil fantasy of the kid. All his demonic and deformed toys come to live and I love to see them in action.
Which brings me to my next point why this movie is amazing. The animation. Sure, nowadays you have Shrek part 248 1/2, but back then Toy Story was the very first fully animated movie and it holds up perfectly to todays standards. The toys look like real toys that have come to live. And who as a kid didn't dream of that moment when your toys would come to live. Pixar took this idea and gave it their own way and they created Toy Story and their (even more successful ) sequels. The animation was so good that Toy Story was nominated for 3 oscars ( but got snobbed of course, as all good movies do). Toy Story was Pixar's first step to making great animations and they have been making them ever since.
Toy Story is the definition of my childhood. I saw this movie when I was very young and it sparked my imagination. I started playing with more toys (especially LEGO'S) and made up my very own stories. Toy Story is a fantastic movie. It has great animation. A fantastic cast, and is a story that has truly stood the test of time. (Unlike some other great animations that feel very outdated today.)
Toy Story gets Wreviews Stamp of Awesomness!
Go see this movie again, because if you haven't seen it. My god, what are you? An alien? Micheal Bay? Or some other kid that doesn't understand the meaning of childhood?
As always take care and thanks for reading this review! If you liked it, please share, subscribe and leave a comment for improvement!

The Intro to Wreviews!
Finally!
A couple of days ago I started on the planning for Wreviews again and now I have finally finished the Intro for the new video format! In two weeks I will upload my very first video and I have it all planned out! Now let's hope that my editing skills will be on par with others.
Version 1.0: http://youtu.be/8ip77AEe1ig
Version 2.0: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t9qZYIhtEg4&feature=relmfu
Things to tell about my first video? OK, It will be a top ten countdown and it will be Nintendo Related ;)
So I'll keep you posted and please enjoy the intro. (ATM I have two different versions up on Youtube. My personal favorite is the first one but the second one is without the Machinima watermark on the Portal 2 part so I'm still doubting which one I will use...)
Thanks again!
